Board warpage or planar shape distortion can affect precision selective soldering results and process repeatability if it is not compensated for during soldering.
Pre-heating an assembly prior to selective soldering is important for many assemblies to ensure good soldering results. Preheating must be strictly controlled so that each assembly reaches the specified preheat temperature at a controlled and linear ramp rate.
Effective January 1st 2009, the 24”x 24”capable mS6749 selective soldering machine will move
from our “Active” phase, to our “Standard Support” phase, effectively ending the manufacturing of
this product.
